PROSTHETIC JOINT/PRE-MEDICATION ANTIBIOTIC GUIDELINES HAVE CHANGED AS OF JANUARY 2015

The American Dental Association and the American Academy of Orthodaedic Surgery have released a joint statement (pun) regarding the routine use of Antibiotic Pre-Medication. NO longer is it recommended for the millions of patients with artificial joint replacements like Hips, Shoulders, Knees to take the massive doses of Amoxicillin for dental procedures.
